ID#105: Supply of forfeight product. Refusal to handle the claim.

Claim amount: 77.450 USD

Status: Collecting offers

Our company located in Iran  and deals with chemicals .

We had found a company from a B2B market place ,which was supplying Titanium Dioxide (Which was the chemical product that we were looking for) ,they sent their samples of products and the samples passed our tests. Than we placed the order for the total value of USD 77,450.00 and we made payment for 30% of total as deposit and rest against copy of bill of lading. The supplier informed us that the goods were USA origin and they were shipped from China. This sentence is also mentioned in the certificate of origin which was issued by the Chamber of Commerce in China.

The goods arrived to our customs packed in 25Kg bags, marked as MADE IN CHINA and it transpired that the contents of the bags was LITHOPONE which is also a chemical product but totally different and much cheaper than TITANIUM DIOXIDE that we had ordered. But the bags were marked as TITANIUM DIOXIDE!!!

We contacted the seller but they did not accept that they had sent us wrong products. To be frank, it seems that this company cheated us because we suggested them that since the goods were not released from the customs and making any changes in the customs is impossible, we could make arrangements with an inspection company to inspect the goods here and report the results. We could also pay for their flight tickets and to bear with all their charges here so they could come here and inspect the product themselves, but they did not accept any of these solutions. This is why we are sure that they have cheated us.
